Alright! Everyone needs this sweet dessert recipe in their cookbook, especially when it comes out of the over bubbling, yum…! Rhubarb season begins in May and Early June in Wisconsin. You will want to pick it before it matures and grows too large and gets to the tough stages.
This is a unique and easy dessert for summer and proves to be a great way to mix things up. Every child should be introduced to the taste of Rhubarb. Go ahead and tell the stories about how you ate it as a young person. We used to dunk ours in the sugar jar and then take a bite being prepared to pucker up. I guess we made our own sour patch candy and didn’t even know it.


Here is what the wet mixture looks like prior to spreading the yellow cake mix over the top. Don’t forget the butter!
